[ Once upon a time, the Rising Tide would eat something like that up, use it to wreck the weapons dealer, Merchant-of-Death Stark who was in bed with the U.S. Government. But Stark's a hero now, and he hasn't been like that with her (an uncomfortable 'yet' hangs over that now). She would have hoped him better than the usual corporate sleaze. ]

Not yet. Hasn't been long since I woke up, I wasn't sure who to talk to about getting my hands on something like that.

Crew who picked you up are a good way in. Or ask one of the operators of the training sims, they usually know their way around a program. Most of the one's I talked to were born outside the Matrix, but from what I've heard, if you've kept your skills you might give them a run for their money.

Those ships work with the ZDG. The same ZDG that's still debating if it should try to rescue a crew that the Council sent out on an undocumented mission.

Is there another way to jump?

I'd say there's always the option of not jumping at all, but that might interfere with any sim training you're embarking on. Do you have much idea of what wasp's nest you've poked at?

That's the idea. The only way you figure out what's inside the nest is to poke it and get them to come out, and I'd say this one needs poking.
Depending on your pre-unplugging views, you might even say it's not the first time I've poked this kind of nest.

What comes out may have done so without any poking necessary. Or you putting yourself at risk of suffering the stings.

Has it been worth it?

Remains to be seen. I got a tip, waiting to see if it pans out.

I'd worry for anyone diving into matters of politics so soon after being unplugged. As experienced as you may be in kicking wasp's nests, I'd advise finding an ear to bend that's perhaps more familiar with the workings here.

I'd hope I'd be a little more subtle, if that was the conclusion I was aiming for. No, I've only a passing knowledge of the council. My arrival in the city went quite the opposite from yours.

Roughly two years, now. Several months before the truce celebrations. I worked in the farms for about a year before I returned to the ZDG.
