[ Once upon a time, the Rising Tide would eat something like that up, use it to wreck the weapons dealer, Merchant-of-Death Stark who was in bed with the U.S. Government. But Stark's a hero now, and he hasn't been like that with her (an uncomfortable 'yet' hangs over that now). She would have hoped him better than the usual corporate sleaze. ]

Not yet. Hasn't been long since I woke up, I wasn't sure who to talk to about getting my hands on something like that.

Crew who picked you up are a good way in. Or ask one of the operators of the training sims, they usually know their way around a program. Most of the one's I talked to were born outside the Matrix, but from what I've heard, if you've kept your skills you might give them a run for their money.

Those ships work with the ZDG. The same ZDG that's still debating if it should try to rescue a crew that the Council sent out on an undocumented mission.

Could be the kind of mission people knew they might no come back from.

Remember, this is a governing body built in wartime. It has to think outward, not inward. Just like SHIELD did.

Well I don't know if you remember, BW, but being built during wartime didn't do SHIELD many favors either.

Touche. But compared to the machines, Hydra seems practically benign. These people consider themselves the last of the free humans. That responsibility probably takes priority over transparency.

That responsibility means they should be striving to be better than humanity used to be.
They should be trying to be something worth saving instead of the kind of people who see their people as expendable, to be quietly sacrificed on the altar of their progress.

It's not like it's a dictatorship. The council were voted into power and they're taking their time debating on what to do about their people.

Well they weren't voted in by me.
They're taking time that those people probably don't have to sit around talking about whether or not they should sacrifice human lives. That is never a debate that needs to be had.
